Woodbridge is a historic town of great character situated on the River Deben. Its charm lies in the many narrow picturesque streets of fine houses and cottages, the river, the famous Tide Mill, the ancient buildings around the Market Hill and the fine Church. Woodbridge has an interesting shopping centre, with many specialist shops, good restaurants and pubs, together with art galleries, antique shops, the town museum and an excellent cinema/theatre, large recreation areas and an indoor heated swimming pool. With the benefit of a train station, guests can arrive from London Liverpool Street in under 2 hours.
It’s location next to the yacht harbour made it the perfect place for our family who were sailing with us over Easter. We had a fantastic few days, helped by perfect weather so I’d definitely book again.
We had a fabulous week. The perfect place to recuperate from being ill all winter. Thank you.
Excellent property in a superb location with stunning views with tasteful decoration and a very high standard of furnishings and fittings throughout. We appreciated the thoughtful touches that made the property feel more like home. The surrounding countryside was unspoilt and we found good restaurants and interesting places to visit. The property was in an excellent location for us although there was quite a lot of pedestrian traffic to and from the marina both early and late but the weather was exceptional and we imagine other times to be less busy and quieter.
