A truly captivating space, situated next door to the beautiful village church, The Coach House is a wonderful retreat for one or two guests looking to rest and re-charge in the delightful county of Suffolk. Fully refurbished in 2019, The Coach House is a split level holiday home with a twist. The front door opens onto the modern, fully fitted kitchen, which is not only stylish, but wonderfully practical, despite its compact size. You'll find not only an oven, but a microwave-combi grill, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer, as well as a breakfast bar and stools. A sliding door from the kitchen leads into the bathroom, which again has been totally transformed. A small roll- top bath has a rainfall shower and hand-held shower attachment, whilst white metro tiles and ‘ammonite’ wallpaper from the National History Museum adds a sprinkling of the seaside to this bijou space.
A straight staircase, with runner and handrail to one side, leads up from the kitchen into an open plan living and sleeping area. Set high in the rafters, this space has beautiful proportions. With sloping ceilings to the side and exposed beams in the ceiling, this space has been thoughtfully designed to create a number of 'zones' - the sleeping 'nook' has a lovely king size bed, where you can lie in bed and admire the spire of St Andrew’s and even listen to the sound of the bells on a Sunday morning. A small library of books and board games have been provided by the owners and there is also an open hanging rail and chest of drawers for clothes storage. The sitting area benefits from a TV with TalkTalk TV, superfast broadband and Wifi, a contemporary electric log burner effect fire with remote control and a comfortable sofa adorned with scatter cushions. To the corner, a small writing desk is an ideal spot to write postcards home, or perhaps jot down your recommendations for the next visitors!
Outside, a small courtyard has been transformed into a little 'Morrocco'. An array of comfortable seating enjoys pops of colour from cushions and wall art, whilst a large outdoor mirror makes this space feel light and airy. This area is also shaded by a covered pergola. Through the gate, lies The Coach House, a fully equipped art studio available for hire, subject to availability.
Visitors to The Coach House will love the benefit of generous off-street parking as well as lockable bicycle storage. There is so much to discover within walking distance. A takeaway fish and chip shop and village stores are just across the road, whilst Honey and Harvey coffee shop is just around the corner and offers fantastic coffee and a delicious menu from breakfast to brunch! Should you wish to venture further, Melton train station is also within walking distance, as well as the banks of the River Deben. You'll be amazed at how much this village has to offer!

Just at the top of Melton Hill, lies Woodbridge, a historic town of great character situated on the River Deben. Its charm lies in the many narrow, picturesque streets of fine houses and cottages, the river, a popular marina, the busy boatyards, the famous Tide Mill, the ancient buildings around the Market Hill and the fine Church. Woodbridge has an interesting pedestrianised high street, with many specialist shops, good restaurants and pubs, together with art galleries, antique shops, a town museum, an excellent cinema/theatre, large recreation areas and an indoor heated swimming pool and leisure centre.
A short drive away is Rendlesham Forest with its UFO centre, The Suffolk Punch Trust and Suffolk Horse Society, Shingle Street (arguably the best place to watch a sunrise) and Framlingham – the home of Ed Sheeran and his beloved ‘Castle on the Hill’.
