Glen View will take your breath away! This stunning house with amazing space boasts a tranquil location and has beautiful views of the Suffolk countryside. It is ideally situated only three miles from the Suffolk Coast and the delightful village of Walberswick and five miles from the Edwardian coastal town of Southwold. It is just a half hour walk to The Queens Head at Bramfield which serves excellent food and the Two Magpies Bakery and Cafe is a five minute drive away.
The house was designed by award-winning architect, James Gorst and has been built counter to the slope of the garden which elevates the living room to provide views over the surrounding fields. At the other end of the house, the master bedroom is cut into the hillside to give low views through the meadows. The interior is spacious and light and each of the huge picture windows create a tableau of vistas of beautiful trees and the surrounding countryside. There is a truly relaxing ambience throughout the house.
The garden has been landscaped to create an attractive outside space with lawns and herbaceous planting, an orchard and wildflower meadow, together with garden furniture and BBQ. A wildlife pond has been created and both the pond and the garden are securely fenced for children and dogs.
Hall with cupboard for coats and boots; steps up to the fully open plan living area. The steps and floor throughout are slate.
Feature island unit with Iroko worktop, stainless steel kitchen sink, gas hob electric cooker, dishwasher and storage cupboards, Dualit toaster, kettle cafetiere, Nespresso Coffee Machine. Separate larder area with shelving, good storage and fridge with separate freezer.

Glen View is a beautiful property for people who are searching for peace and nature. The house is wonderfully designed, the garden fits perfectly into the surrounding.
An unusual modern house in place of the old bungalow I remember from my childhood. Wonderful huge windows with different views from each one. A welcome escape at the end of a busy day on the beach... Real peace and quiet! My little twin grandchildren adored every moment.. Especially watching the combine harvester in the field beside Glen View cutting the corn and then ploughing in the stubble. The combine harvester came so close to where they were standing, they flew indoors each time it came right up to the hedge in a cloud of straw and dust especially at sunset- quite magical! Thank you for all you did to make our stay enjoyable.
We found ourselves at Glen View after a series of misadventures and we have enjoyed our stay here. A great find has been The Queen's Head, a gastropub in Bramfield. Excellent food and reasonable prices- and the nearest pub/restaurant to the property (just turn left on the side of the gates). With very hot weather we have explored much of this beautiful county. Thank you for helping this be a memorable stay.
